A couple of people have asked me about the extent to which life reflects art (if you can call it that!) in these comics. It is true that there are several striking similarities between the life of the Pink Narwhal and that of her creator. However, the comics also feature things that are either made up, or happened some time ago in real life (for example, the Pink Narwhal was a PhD fresher a year after I was…). So, for the record: the arrival of a pint-sized whale in the life of the Pink Narwhal is not a metaphor for any immediate patter of tiny tail-fins in my own!
